We are a group of senior men and women celebrating our Christian Faith. A Group where “Everybody Is Somebody”.
Our Theme Verse Is: “Ye are the salt of the earth” -Matthew 5:13a
As Christians, we are called the salt of the earth because our lives enhance and give meaning to life. As Seniors we strive to live as pure a life as possible so that we can maximize our ability to “flavor” or bless others in our world.
Our Motto is: “Where faith and adventure meet and life is always happening!”
Our Purpose is: To exalt the Lord and lead others to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our Goal is: “To establish a strong, healthy, Senior Community of Faith.” Helping Seniors connect. Sharing and Serving together. Meeting each other’s needs. “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ”.
Bible Studies led by our own Maxine Davis ever Thursday except the second Thursday of the month when the Seniors have their monthly potluck.
Dolly Steam boat Cruise Monday, May 13th, Be at the church by 8:45 Cost $30.00
We will be cruising the inner waterways of Canyon Lake and listening to legends and lore of the Superstition Mountains. Drinks and snacks may be purchased while on the cruise.
This will be an all day excursion. It takes appx. 1 1/2 hours to drive there. Our check in is 11:30 and the cruise is 1.5 hours. We will then eat lunch at Well Done Grill (Dutch treat before returning. Plan on being back to church by 4:30
Windy Hills Lavender Farm Thursday, June 13th Be at the church by 9:00 AM $25.00
This will be an all day excursion. While it’s hot in Phoenix, it will be nice and cool where we are going.
We will be making our own bath bomb to and learing about all the wonderful things lavender can do for us.
Please bring a sack lunch, we will be eating at the lovely patio where we can enjoy the scenes and quiet and enjoy the cool.
The gift shop will be open and because we are going on a Thursday, all items will be at a 10% discount.
We will leave around 2:30-3:00 PM for our return.

Seniors Concert Series at DCF
April Theme: On Thursday April 11, a speaker from AARP will be here to share exciting new programs and freebies you can take advantage of as a person over 50 years old in the AARP program. Come see what you are not doing now and how to get in for some new freebies!
May Theme: Let’s celebrate the outdoors before it gets too hot! Our own Master Gardener, Pat Pierson, will be here on May 9 to share with us about patio gardening and we will have a BBQ in the Garden as well. Bring your favorite picnic dish to share as we enjoy the last of the cool afternoons together.
June Theme: This will be a busy day as some of you are signed up for the day trip to Heber to see the Windy Hills Lavender Farm (see below). For the rest of us, we will have our monthly potluck on June 13 and we invite you to bring something that represents one of your hobbies as we share our favorite “free time” activities with each other.

Desert Christian Fellowship loves Seniors and we invite you to these future free concert nights here in our Worship Center.
Homecoming Gospel Night — Sunday, May 5, 2019
- Our annual favorite night of gospel-style music will return as both outside and DCF musicians share their gospel music with us in voice and on their instruments. Gus Voglesany will host the night and we seniors will provide our traditional donut holes and hot drinks for a fellowship time following the program.
Patriotic Men’s Barbershop Concert — Sunday, June 30
- Come celebrate our country’s birthday as we have an indoor BBQ Potluck, a short children’s music celebration and then share in a one hour patriotic men’s barbershop concert night. It will be a celebration you do not want to miss out on. Invite a friend and honor our country along with us at DCF
An Old Fashioned Hymn sign Night — Sunday, Oct. 6 at 5 PM
Dig out that Hymn book you have hidden away and bring it to this night of singing those old favorites!!! Keith Maves and Gary Stoddard along with our piano player will let us pick our favorites to share together plaus we will have some specials sung by our traditional singers. What a fun night together!
